Distinguished Service Award

Description:

This NASP award is given to the individual who has made a sustained contribution to leadership within NASP and the Specialty Pharmacy industry.

Criteria:

Must be a current annual dues NASP member.

Contribute consistently and reliably to helping further NASP’s mission.

Provide consistent and reliable leadership focused on assisting members of the healthcare team in the delivery of superior patient care and positive outcomes.

Have established themselves as an exemplary advocate for patients and the Specialty Pharmacy industry.

Nomination Process:

Individuals must be nominated by an active NASP member. The nomination must include a statement between 300 and 1,000 words that describes why the individual merits the award. The statement should include a description of the nonfinancial contributions of the nominee both to NASP and to the Specialty Pharmacy industry that underscore their merits for consideration.

Selection Process:

All nominations are submitted to the Membership Committee by the established deadline. The Membership Committee will review all nominations and score them based on their merits. The Membership Committee will select the winner using an unbiased scoring process.

Scoring is as follows:

  • Contribute consistently and reliably to helping further NASP’s mission. – 30%
  • Provide consistent and reliable leadership focused on assisting members of the healthcare team in the delivery of superior patient care and positive outcomes – 30%
  • Have established and distinguished themselves as an exemplary advocate for the Specialty Pharmacy industry – 20%
  • Community Involvement – 20%

Award:

The Distinguished Service Award will be presented at the NASP Opening General Session at the NASP Annual Meeting. The award itself will consist of a trophy and complimentary Annual Meeting registration for the winner. Additionally, the winner will participate in all the benefits of recognition on the NASP website, as well as special bulletins that will be sent out announcing the finalists and the winner.

Specialty Pharmacy of the Year Award

Description:

This NASP award is given to the Specialty Pharmacy that embodies the practice of Pharmacy in the field of Specialty.

Criteria:

The nominated pharmacy must be a current annual dues NASP member.

Nomination Process:

The Specialty Pharmacy of the Year must be nominated by an active NASP member. The nomination must include a statement describing the merits of the nominated organization based on community involvement, patient satisfaction, cost management, quality/performance improvement initiatives, and innovation in the field of Specialty Pharmacy, which includes patient care and outcomes, disease state and therapy management, and patient engagement. The statement should not exceed 2500 words in total or 500 words per category.

Patient Satisfaction (as measured by the Specialty Pharmacy) – 10%

Additionally, the winner will participate in all the benefits of recognition on the NASP website, as well as special bulletins that will be sent out announcing the finalists and the winner.

: Specialty Pharmacy Service Excellence Award

Description:

This NASP award is given to an individual who has demonstrated a sustained commitment to supporting the delivery of high quality Specialty Pharmacy service and care.

Criteria:

The nominee must:

  • Be a support staff (non-Pharmacist) employee of a Corporate NASP member in good standing.
  • Provide consistent and reliable support to patients, caregivers and other members of the healthcare team resulting in the delivery of superior patient care and positive outcomes.
  • Have distinguished themselves while supporting the delivery of Specialty Pharmacy services.
  • Have established themselves as an exemplary advocate for patients and the Specialty Pharmacy industry.

Individuals must be nominated by an active NASP member. The nomination must include a statement that should be between 300 and 1,000 words that describes why the individual merits the award.The nomination statement should address all elements of the award criteria.

The award itself will consist of a trophy and complimentary Annual Meeting registration for all finalists. Additionally, the winner will participate in all the benefits of recognition on the NASP website, as well as special bulletins that will be sent out announcing the finalists and the winner.

: Strategic Partner of the Year Award

Description:

This NASP award is given to the Strategic Partner (non-pharmacy) that has made a substantial contribution to supporting Specialty Pharmacy over the past year.

Criteria:

The nominee must be a Corporate NASP member in good standing.

Nomination Process:

The Strategic Partner must be nominated by an active NASP member. The nomination must include a statement that should be between 300 and 1000 words that describes why the organization merits the award. The statement should include a description of the nonfinancial contributions of the nominee both to NASP and to the Specialty Pharmacy industry that underscore their merits for consideration.

The Strategic Partner of The Year Award will be presented during the NASP Annual Meeting. The award will consist of a trophy and complimentary registration for two members of the organization at the following year’s Annual Meeting. Additionally, the winner will participate in all the benefits of recognition on the NASP website, as well as special bulletins that will be sent out announcing the finalists and the winner.
