Kara O'Grady is director of pharmacy systems and program development at HealthPartners. Her pharmacy career began with HealthPartners in 2001 while pursuing her bachelor of science in public health from the University of Minnesota. During her tenure at HealthPartners, her responsibilities and areas of oversight spanned a variety of progressive roles in the pharmacy department. Key leadership roles have included major projects such as pharmacy system implementations, system and process integration across the organization and the development of a specialty pharmacy programs. Ms. O'Grady continued her education and has received her master's degree in nonprofit management as well as a master's degree in business administration from Hamline University. Her special interests include program development, technology, and process optimization. Ms. O'Grady enjoys working with cross-functional teams within the organization and collaborating on triple aim initiatives. She has been a valuable asset to the pharmacy leadership team with great skills in pharmacy reconciliation, data analytics, problem-solving, working with complex problems, and leveraging technology. Away from the office, Ms. O'Grady enjoys running, lifting weights, and most importantly spending time outdoor golfing, skiing, and going on state park adventures with her husband, Ben, her 2 young sons, Bohdan and Henryk, and her golden retriever, Gabby.
