Kevn M. McNamara, PharmD, RPh, has worked as a clinical pharmacist since 1990. She is a co-owner of Clinical Pharmacy Partners, a consulting company focused on the optimizing the patient care in the alternative site through staff development and training and successful completion of the accreditation process for home infusion and specialty pharmacies. Dr. McNamara has been a surveyor for Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC) since 2004 and practiced in the home infusion and alternate site setting since 1997. Prior to practicing in the alternate-site pharmacy setting, she served as a clinical pharmacist in several hospitals in Florida, Alabama, and South Carolina, and served as an adjunct professor at Samford University School of Pharmacy and faculty preceptor for pharmacy students from several schools of pharmacy.
During her career, Dr. McNamara has presented and authored numerous presentations, posters, and articles related to specialty pharmacy and home infusion, served as a contributing author for the fourth through sixth editions of the Extended Stability for Parenteral Drugs. In addition, she serves or has served on many volunteer committees and positions for National Association of Specialty Pharmacy (NASP), National Home Infusion Association, American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, Society of Infectious Disease Pharmacists, and American Society of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition and its Florida chapter.
